As a trainer I’ve put on a lot of these challenges and the stats I kept for this challenge revealed something obvious. The people who logged the most workouts and logged their weight the most often dominated. It’s the 101 of body transformation. People are always looking for the latest and greatest but if you don’t have the basics the fancy stuff won’t get you anywhere. What I learned more than anything is that the scale is your friend. You could be keeping perfect track of your calories, macros and nutrient timing but you don’t know if you have the right amount of calories unless the scale is moving the direction that you want. It’s what CrossFit is all about. We do benchmarks and keep track of our max efforts in the major lifts so we can know what we are doing works. It’s obviously working for everyone listed below.
Congratulations to everyone.
Just incase you are looking at this for the first time we competed in 3 categories which were workouts logged, bodyfat lost and VO2 max improved. People get 1 point for first and 2 for second. The placings are the lowest total of all the categories.
So here are the top 5 overall finishers.
|Name||Workouts||Fat Loss||vo2 max +||total|
Now fat loss. (listed in percentage of total body weight lost)
I also need to make some honorable mentions. We didn’t make weight loss an actual category but some of you killed this one so here are the biggest weight losses.
There were also a few who packed on a lot of muscle. Keep in mind any muscle gain in 10 weeks while on a fat loss program is impressive but Valerie please send me your food diary. I know you got super strong over the last 10 weeks but the muscle gain beyond impressive.
Again congratulations to all of you who joined in this challenge and we can’t wait to put together the summer challenge. Keep up the awesome work. Cynthia and I are very proud of you.
